Why I think modern culture is a mess

The science of the Supreme personality of godhead has been handed down from the beginning of time till present day through the unbroken chain of sages, mystics, and devotees. This science is the panacea for all problems because it cuts down at the root the misconceptions of “I” and “mine” and shines light upon the true self as well as the supreme Self. It is a shame that in today’s society there is practically speaking nobody willing to stand up and declare war on the real problem that faces our species, Ignorance of the self and the supreme personality of godhead, Sri Krsna. All religious efforts have been attempts to elucidate and pass on the knowledge of the self to those who were qualified by the quality of sincere inquiry.

The oral tradition of India has been proven to be much older than what modern historians have led us to believe. Through archeology, genealogy, and careful study of various historical texts as well as reference from other cultures that point to the fact that the human race as we know it has been around and thriving, creating advanced civilizations for much longer than we have been allowed to believe.

Understanding our heritage, lineage, and culture is an important tool in deciphering the true meaning and purpose of life on earth. Modern culture based purely on Newtonian physics would have you believe that life’s main goal is to procreate and pass on your genes, live a life that is satisfying for you, and contribute to the improvement of the lives of others, after achieving this you will die and the fruits of your work will be enjoyed by future generations and you will no longer exist. This view of the goal of life is purely based on the misconception of the body and mind to be the Self. Consciousness is now being studied by philosophers and quantum theorists,  their conclusions have been heard through many studies and observations they have shown the immaterial nature of matter and show the impacts of consciousness can be observed to directly change the behavior of quantum particles. I will admit that I am far too uneducated in the realm of quantum theory or physics to properly elucidate on the findings of quantum physicists. I have been able to hear a resounding connection they make to the Upanishads, and the theories of consciousness that have been elucidated on in eastern philosophy, primarily Buddhism and Vedanta.

The culture that will base its principles on REALITY as opposed to falsity will, in the end, be most successful.  It is now a common idea that to assert your own view of reality as being more valid than anyone else’s is deemed offensive and discriminatory. This sounds great in a fluffy world where there is no consequence for actions or behavior patterns. However, that has not nor ever will be the reality of this world. All actions do in fact lead to other reactions and either desirable or undesirable circumstances. Everything I do from the way I eat, sleep, mate, and wage war will have dire consequences if not conducted in full knowledge of the nature of those particular actions and their ingredients.

By learning the science of health I can better inform myself to live my life retaining health to the quality that I am willing to pursue and I will obviously not obtain those results if I fail to discipline myself to align with those methods. I don’t have to like it, I just have to know the facts and choose whether or not I can or want to be healthy.

Similarly, the science of society, the study of human behaviors and the consequences of such behaviors should be based on truth, carefully presented to provide any man and woman with the knowledge to understand how to best live in society for not only ones own satisfaction but the satisfaction of the family, community, and country. To speak honestly about the positive or negative influence of any given behavior, ideology, or dogma is not a hate crime, It is the true act of kindness to your fellow man or woman. To demonize this very act is the very spearhead of the modern Marxist atheistic force that would happily enslave all if it had the power to do so. It is sad to see so many young people so very mislead by the idea that Feeling is more important than truth.

All ideas, political or religious should be investigated and observed by their inherent qualities. Only those ideas or philosophies which seek to uplift the Moral and spiritual consciousness of society should be deemed worthy of forming our governmental policies and our cultural narrative should be properly and carefully aligned with our Spiritual and moral values. They should be carefully weighed and assessed and taught without extremism or hate.

The method to properly alter the consciousness of a mass of people is to change the way in which they view themselves. This is the key to either degrading or elevating society. This is the key to freedom.

There is no such thing as freedom when the perception of self is based on falsehood.

There may be many who say that is impossible to arrive at the truth of what consciousness is or what the self is, that is better to go on what we can see with our eyes and hear with our ears than to approach a subject so elusive. I, however, say that with a little effort you may learn that an idea doesn’t have to 100% true to cause a massive shift in consciousness that can benefit your life, behavior, and happiness. 

Mystic states are extremely enlightening to those who experience them and many such mystics express immense appreciation and absolute value on these experiences. We the objective viewer cannot know or understand that experience fully but we can begin to find similar threads to find what must be closer to the truth.

By hearing listening to knowledge from those who have seen the truth we can align ourselves to it and experience the benefits of that alignment.  I am certain that those who have experienced this reality will attest to the notion that you will not regret taking a plunge into the depths of true and honest  self- inquiry and living your life according to that perspective.

To the atheist, the agnostic, or the complacent I say “you honestly haven’t even scratched the surface of pleasure, enjoyment, and freedom. The heights of enjoyment are not manifest on the bodily plane so don't waste your time, find your route to absolute freedom and spiritual enlightenment"
