Babbling of a modern yogi

The words of the wise sages are complete in themselves, what good could a 21st century, half-baked yogi reject add to their refined and coded body of knowledge we know today as Sanatana-dharma.
Yet our Guru's and Acharyas teach us to continually refine and present the information contained in the vast ocean of Sanatana dharmic literature in modern language and in such a way as to pierce through the intellectual cloud of the modern mind.
We are now prone and conditioned to reject the very notion of truth. Nothing is true in today's society, nothing sacred, nothing worthy. To teach the absolute truth in today's society is a very perilous task. Everyone is an expert in their own reality, this is true no doubt, but what if the very basis of that truth were wrong, based on a false premise thereby impacting every fabric of so-called subjective truths turning them false and meaningless.
The lies of modernity lay on the very prospect that we are these vehicles we so carefully name, decorate, feed, and satisfy. We are the slaves of our minds, our desires, our impulses, and cravings.
Having fallen prey to the demands of this mortal frame, we do not mind enacting the most debased and exaggerated forms of pleasure seeking. We are addicted to war, killing, death and consume violence with not even the slightest second guessing. We care not for relationships and treat them like some kind of new accessory to be discarded when it no longer suits. We do not understand service, serving others, making others happy, and placing the needs of the ones we love above our own.
Our generation is a generation of complaining, self-entitled, narcissists. Who stand on the suffering of others, to protest and revel in the bliss of outrage.
Alas, it is not outrage, or disgust that I am trying to communicate...It is sadness. It is sad to see the suffering of the many so clearly displayed on my tiny little television. It is sad to see people weep for what should not be mourned and smile for that which should.
It is sad to see the very solution to all problems, the Superself within the heart, neglected, denied, and even mocked.
No, I don't stand to judge anyone... as the veils of this reality are spread thicker than the Webbs of shelobs lair. It is not an easy thing to see through this facade and pierce through the very lie that holds this all together.
What good are the words of a reject yogi, dying in the modern era? You are your own teacher, you are your own guide, seek the truth and you shall find it.
